Spearheads

"Spearheads are the spiritually mature who embrace the depths to which they can become mighty weapons in the hands of faith. And when they reach fullness in Christ, they become a mighty force to be reckoned with."

"Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him."

James 1:12

A fallen world contaminated by sin, corruption and weakness, influences the unfaithful to live for the temporary and fleeting satisfactions of the flesh. But devoted Christians are the Lord's spearheads who look beyond this fallen state. The Holy Spirit equips them to cut through the layers of deceitful doctrines and complacency to present a true and better way through holiness. They also overcome the fear of the world through their unshakeable trust and obedience in the Lord and the knowledge that He who lives in them is infinitely bigger than he who is in the world.

"Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world."

1 John 4:4

The Lord's spearheads pose a great threat to Satan's effectiveness in keeping multitudes in bondage through his lies and deception. So it is with certainty that the Enemy will focus much of his attacks on those that cause him the most resistance. Satan does not relent when you turn to Christ, he intensifies the onslaught hoping the believer will crumble under the pressure to turn to the world.

"But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ."

2 Corinthians 11:3

Spearheads are those Christian soldiers who bravely intercede for a broken world and form the blade of the spear. Referred to as the body of Christ. But the constant grinding against doubts and fears when you take your eyes off the Lord during afflictions and tribulations will attribute to the spearhead losing its original sharpness and keenness. Any object is only as strong as its weakest point, and the Enemy knows this. A bluntness which renders the spear to be useless, is the Adversary's plan and strategy in his effort to counter devoted Christianity. To convince the spearhead of their own irrelevance by spreading doubts regarding their faith and beliefs. And before long even mighty spears of valour may become persuaded they are as insignificant as spoons. Only good for scooping rations from a mentality polluted by spiritual poverty.

"Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren't you far more valuable to him than they are? "

Matthew 6:26

Satan's ideal is for Christians to succumb under the burdens and desires of the flesh. And he is most joyful when the Christian's testimony represents an agony associated with the Christian life. His dominions convince a secular world that Christianity is a life of misery, loss and suffering, by keeping their eyes fixed on the here and now. Keeping them focused on the price they pay through persecution and the supposed hopelessness in their current situations. The Enemy pollutes the mind to create sorrow, unbelief, doubt, self-pity which in turn leads to a bluntness through faithlessness. And if one is not focused on Christ alone, the lies will be scooped up. The spearhead then loses sight of the promises pertaining to their eternal peace and prosperity and remains in a state of wretched immobility.

"For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit."

Romans 8:5

Spearheads are the spiritually mature who embrace the depths to which they can become mighty weapons in the hands of faith. And when they reach fullness in Christ, they become a mighty force to be reckoned with. Therefore, it is the duty of all believers to sharpen the spearhead against the constant momentum provided by the Word of God. And by doing so, eradicate the bluntness created through disbelief and ignorance. Always bearing forward, immersed in the Word of God. Because by sharpening the spearhead, devotion and courage is also enhanced. But bearing forward is firstly an act of faith and not just a random action. And although a physical action may be required, faith is first. When you forge ahead in faith, the Lord will open the doors in time to ensure He gets all the glory.

With that being said, the spearhead is not just sharpened through prayers and by meditating in the Word. Believers also need to establish a united front against Satan. And it is at this same frontline where neighbourly love develops through a devoted immersion and obedience revealed by the truth in God's Word. In other words, fellowship with other believers is key. Resist the fears sown by seeds of insignificance with contempt and embrace the assurance that your participation was unequivocally predetermined by the Omnipotent Creator of the whole universe.

"Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure."

Proverbs 4:25-26

It is imperative that the spear always surges forward. Relentless and regardless. And the speed and determination by which the spear forges ahead, will determine the extent to which the spearhead is sharpened to cut through the onslaught and calamities. Because the intensity by which the spear moves forward to stay sharp, remains a choice. It is also a choice to partake in the mobilisation of the spear in collaborative unity. And the faith and obedience you display in this pursuit, determines the amount of grace the Lord will release upon you.

Remember, profound overcoming power and endurance is present among those who unite their trust in the Lord. By always surging forward. And where faith in Christ is present through unconditional surrender, there you will find a community of perseveres. God ordains and anoint them to spread the power and importance of holy living and they fearlessly unite in this quest as a result of indescribable grace.

"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of the darkness into His marvellous light."

1 Peter 2:9

Every Christian's calling and commission is as important to the Lord as another's. He is not a respecter of persons and His ways and thoughts are higher than you can fathom. This is clear from the Lord's interest in eternal glorification as opposed to the world's infatuation with fleshly gratification. To comprehend this contrast will help in preventing the dangers of pride and self-importance to burden the effectiveness of the spearhead. Everyone needs to take part in his or her own calling in life, purposed by the Lord. Because by taking part, spearheads are strengthened and sharpened in every community.

"For God shows no partiality."

Romans 2:11

May the wholesomeness of sincere Christian hearts bring a conviction and motivation within you to surge forward at an unprecedented speed. Resist and pierce through any onslaught for it is the ordained duty of the spearhead. Refrain from scooping sinful doubts and fears during times of oppression because they only expose a lack of faith and remember all trials are temporary.

Pray for the strength to expose the dangers of individual importance and deceptive doctrines wherever the Holy Spirit leads you. And be purified through an honest abiding love for Jesus and your fellow man. Commit to the peaceful resolve found in humble individual introspections because this commitment ensures no personal hindrance is present in the collective effort to selflessly forge ahead.

All the glory to God, who despite your sinful insignificance, still gives the grace that you may be used to fulfill His pre-ordained plans and purposes. To partake in making a valuable difference in a world broken by sin.

"So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves."
